cruising to WIEN 10-5-2015

Tonight while we were sleeping our boat went on through many locks in rainy weather, but when we woke up we were near Melk and the sun was shining.

Cruising in the WACHAU district we saw many lovely small villages and some more locks and one more very low bridge, and at the end of the trip the scenery changed then the modern outskirts of Viena was coming closer.

Reichsbrücke & Meksiko church

We anchored under the Reichsbrücke near the Meksiko church and went to the city-centre by taxi, visiting the famous Hundertwasserhäuser on our way. Then we made a tour in the centre in a fiaker, which was driven by a lady for us, starting and ending next to the Stephansdom

 And in the evening we left Viena to travel to Budapest overnight.
