after a message from the dutch embassy that my passport had arrived from holland in madrid, and that they will send it to comillas in north-spain (where we hope to be on monday), we said farewell to our nice apartment in the lisbonaire, and were whished a bon voyage from turkish besiktas supporters that stayed in a hotel in the same street as we did.

the weather got better the closer we came to porto, were we had blue skies when we arrived near the douro at the foot of the dom luiz 1 bridge. we stay here in a small apartment directly at the river-side on a city-part that is called vila nova de gaia, while the other site of the douro is called porto.

we had some sangria,  tapas and wine (a bit spanish, a bit portugese)

and had a walk around admiring the lights on both sides of the river.
